The family-friendly establishment, Stadium Pepz Pizza & Eatery has recently added new items on the menu just in time for football season. Now, with increasingly popular Detroit-style pizzas available for Dine-in, Takeout, or Delivery. If you want to watch a game while enjoying your pizza, you can enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and 30 TV screens at the central Anaheim location on State College near Disneyland Resort.
Pepz Pizza & Eatery has served Anaheim hot pizzas, fresh salads, drool-worthy sides, and sandwiches for more than 20 years. The restaurant has a wide range of Detroit-style pizzas on the menu and prioritizes the finest and freshest ingredients, aiming for a culinary experience in a fun and upbeat environment.

Unsurprisingly, the history of Detroit-style pizza begins in Michigan’s largest city. According to Allrecipes, the idea for the thick, twice-stretched pizza dough was hatched at the former speak-easy Buddy’s Rendezvous in 1946. The owners of the establishment made the rectangular pizza shape by borrowing steel pans from the local automotive plants, which are still used to this day.
A customer favorite of the Detroit-style pizzas on Pepz’s menu is the D Town Sweet Heat with mozzarella and double pepperoni, topped with ricotta and hot honey. Some other option include the favorite Pepz House Special, The Philly Cheesesteak, Chicken Bacon Ranch, and Good old Pepperoni!
"Been a regular for years, and usually stick with my go to items - calzone, wings, Cobb salad, or maybe an Italian sandwich at lunchtime. Tonight, upon a recommendation from Cynthia, I tried a new menu item, the Detroit style pizza (sweet heat?). This one hits the mark! Perfect blend of crunchy and chewy, and the ricotta cheese and honey drip make it the most unusually delicious pizzas I’ve ever had. Not a “review guy,” but felt the need to spread the “good news.” Great job guys!"
