When enrolled in this online training program, you will spend 75 hours learning various techniques and practices, including Asana, Pranayama, and meditation.
The 30-hour anatomy and physiology portion of the course covers the main bodily systems, as well as types of joint movements, balance, stretching, physical limitations, contraindications, and more.
The curriculum also includes 40 hours of yoga humanities, which highlights the history, philosophy, and ethics of the practice.
The final 55 hours of the program are dedicated to professional essentials, which include teaching methodology, professional development, electives, and a small group practicum.
The Hawaii Yoga Institute is inclusive to students and faculty members of every race, class, gender, size, physical ability, and spiritual faith.
Admission and certification requirements include competency in the English language, the ability to contribute to a safe a cohesive learning environment, personal experience studying with a yoga teacher or therapist, as well as physical, mental, and emotional preparedness.

The next online teacher training takes place on evenings and weekends from July 10th to September 5th, 2021. The program is approved to accept benefits and scholarships from MyCAA and the GI Bill.
