Start a new career soon after high school, and forget about wasting your time being a waitress, cook, or cleaner. The Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy (647-247-2481) can help you to get trained, certified, and experienced as an aesthetician, faster than you think.
Do you know that you don't need to be a doctor or nurse to be a medical aesthetician?
Sure, if you are a registered doctor or nurse, you can get certified to do some pretty advanced procedures - but there are dozens of techniques you can get certified for, in just a few months, with only a high school diploma.
Some of the more fun ones too, like laser hair and tattoo removal, dermaplaning, micro-blading, Cool Sculpting, chemical peels, and pigmentation treatments, to name just a few.
When you compare that to the usual jobs people get after high school, it definitely seems like better work, better pay, and a long-term career - instead of just minimum wage for working in a kitchen or as a server.
It's easier than you might expect, too. At least, it is now, thanks to the Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy.
They've optimized their entire training program to help new aestheticians, that's you, complete their certification fast, while working mostly from home. Now, I know - you're wondering how you can get the kind of experience you need through your computer screen, I was too.
The answer is, you can't.
They know that, of course, that's why they let you do most of your "book learning" online - and then they bring you into the Academy for about a week of intensive, hands-on training. This way you get all the experience you need, without having to spend months in a classroom.
You can get all the little details, like how many online modules are in a course, what certifications are included in each, and that kind of stuff - by visiting their website. I'd list them here if I could, but they cover a lot of different procedures, so if you're curious, just visithttps://dermysk.com/pages/academy
By splitting their training program into online and in-person sections, they've made it easy to work at your own pace, upgrade your education while you're raising kids, or keep working a different job until you're certified. It doesn't matter if it takes you 6 weeks, or 6 months, when you're done with the online portion, they'll have a spot for you at the Academy.
You could even complete your online training while you're vacationing on the other side of the world, as long as you have an internet connection. Just remember that you'll need to spend about a week in class afterward, at one of their 4 locations across Canada.
Let me break down the courses just a little bit, so you know what you're getting into.
The first option is the Basic course, which you can probably finish in just a few months if you have the time to work on it a bit each day. All you need to enroll is a high school diploma or some kind of relevant work experience. This course covers everything you need to actually start working as an aesthetician, either at a nearby clinic or by opening your own business.
When you complete the Basic course, you'll be fully certified and experienced in up to a dozen popular medical aesthetic procedures. That's when you'll have to decide though - is it time to enter the workforce, or do you want to upgrade your skills some more with the Advanced course?
With your diploma from the Basic course, you've got everything you need to enroll in the Advanced class. You can also get in without a diploma if you have at least 5 years of industry experience. As the name suggests, the Advanced course teaches advanced techniques, such as Body Sculpting and laser gynecology.
While the Basic course includes some information about running a medical aesthetic business, the Advanced course really digs into the topic. It covers individualized business strategies, how to manage difficult customers, and effective solutions to common complications.
However - and this is important - there is a way that you can get a better education, faster, and with receipts. Hear me out.
Instead of enrolling in the Basic and then Advanced courses - skip them.
If you're dedicated to learning the trade, you can enroll directly in the Master’s level course.
It includes all the content covered in both the Basic and Advanced programs, plus some. You'll get the same comprehensive training and hands-on experience, plus exclusive lessons not covered in other courses.
The best part though, is that you'll get the receipt. When you graduate, they'll give you a Master Of Medical Aesthetics certificate - and it's a lot rarer than you might think. Since the Basic and Advanced courses are so accessible, and let people start working immediately, not a lot of people have a Master's certificate - but you could.
No matter which course is right for you, all graduates of the Dermysk Academy courses will be enrolled in the Postgraduate Support program, which is a great resource if you need a little help finding a place to work with your new skills, or if you're looking to improve them.
I don't know which course is right for you - but I do hope you'll check them out, and maybe I'll see you there.
