Are you ready to go electric, and feel real power in your dirt bike? The Electric Motion Escape X and XR could be just what you’re looking for, with the ultimate in power, speed, and eco-friendly riding. Just don’t forget about the torque.
We've all seen the videos where someone hits the gas a little too hard, and they're left behind while the bike goes full speed, right? While that used to be a joke that could happen one in a million times, today, that's a reality - and I love it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's all about electric dirt bikes - and the real power you get with all that torque under your butt. I want to summarize what I've learned about the new Electric Motion Escape (X and XR models) - but if you want more details than just a summary, check out the Electric Dirt Biker Hub for all the details, comparisons, and facts you can handle.
Here's a link right to their article about these new e-dirt bikes, but they have the deets on all the latest bikes if that's what you're looking for. Check out https://electricdirtbiker.com/electric-motions-escape-x-escape-the-ordinary/
I know, I know, you're like, "Electric engines aren't new, man."
Sure, that's true - but they have rarely been used in dirt bikes, and many folks are unsure how they will hold up to the dusty conditions, bumpy roads, and other issues that come with using an off-road vehicle. Being a dirt bike isn't exactly a walk in the park... it's more like a full-speed run through a dusty, bumpy park, filled with gopher holes and steep hills.
So when I wanted to know how they held up - without having to risk buying one just for an experiment, I checked out the Electric Dirt Biker Hub for all the facts. Here's what I found, in a nutshell.
To start with, they made the bikes lighter, quieter, and easier to maneuver, without sacrificing power. The only thing they did sacrifice is the engine noise, and I don't miss it.
If you feel the need to make your own dirt bike sounds, I'll understand.
Obviously, the exact weight and power will vary from bike to bike, but the report suggests that the new base model Electric Motion Escape X can provide up to 11 kilowatts of power, which translates to approximately 15 horsepower.
Although the new bikes place a focus on electric power and eco-friendly usage, the Electric Dirt Biker Hub has highlighted a bunch of improvements in the newest models, including the use of 35-millimeter inverted front forks. These advanced front forks allow the bike to travel up to 250 millimeters in order to absorb shocks from even the bumpiest trails and steepest climbs.
If I were you though, what I would really want to know about is range, right?
Well, it can be difficult to estimate the range for electric vehicles, since it can vary widely based on speed, weather conditions, and battery load, however, the company suggests that the base model Escape X can provide up to 80 kilometers of range, and can travel up to 85 kilometers per hour.
To be honest, while I like having unlimited range, that's already further than I want to go on a dirt bike in a single trip, even on a comfy one.
Remember when I said the bike was lighter? Well, it was designed for easy travel and storage, with the heavier XR model weighing in at only 88 kilograms. That means you can solo-lift it by yourself if you're careful, and rolling it? No problem.
It doesn't stop there, the full guide talks about tons of new features that I don't have time to cover, so I'll admit, I stole a little quote from them to save myself time.
Here it is, from the Electric Dirt Bikers Hub, “The traction control system ensures optimal grip on any terrain, while progressive regenerative braking extends your range by recovering energy during braking. And if you ever stall on a hill, the anti-reverse feature has your back, preventing you from rolling backward.”
If you want to know more about these bikes, or any electric dirt bikes - it's a no-brainer that you should check out the Electic Dirt Bikers Hub, it's literally what they do best.
