Hope Rising's "My Best Me" curriculum uses interactive projects to teach students how to set a goal, how to design a practical pathway toward that goal, and how to build the willpower they need to achieve that goal. Students then learn how to use this goal-achieving method for each of these five core competencies: identity, health, community, environment, and economics.
The "My Best Me" Grade 1 Classroom Pack contains comprehensive materials for both students and teachers. Educators who use the "My Best Me" curriculum classroom pack have access to interactive student workbooks and worksheets, online teacher training and support, a teacher guidebook, and family engagement activity pages.
In addition, teachers get access to a private collaborative Facebook group where they can share ideas with other teachers, receive additional training, and ask questions.
While the lessons in the "My Best Me" curriculum are designed to be taught in 45-minute sessions, they are non-sequential so that educators can organize them according to their primary curriculum or pair them with relevant current or school events.
