Last night, April 9th, distinguished guests gathered together for one of Las Vegas’s most prominent society, art, and fashion events – the annual Black & White Ball, hosted by the Nevada Ballet Theatre.
As one of the largest annual fundraisers of the year for esteemed arts organizations, this glamorous evening supports not only the arts but the greater community of Nevada. The Nevada Ballet Theatre uses the proceeds of the event to fund access, programming, and education for more than 20,000 students each year.
Esteemed guest renowned artist Elena Bulatova, brought a splash of color to this black and white affair with artwork donation contributions to the live auction. Elena Bulatova had the honor of donating five artworks to the live auction portion of the evening, with the last painting, named “Extravaganza”, going for 7,000 dollars. In addition to its philanthropic mission, this event is an important moment to honor female trailblazers, who achieve success not only in artistic achievement but in their impact on society.
The evening featured Grammy Award-winning singer, and songwriter Judy Collins, who was honored as the 2022 “Woman of the Year”. As an activist who has made such an unforgettable impact on our world, Judy Collins joins an important list of iconic women with worldwide humanitarian impact and international recognition such as Debbie Reynolds, Celine Dion, Marie Osmond, Debbie Allen, and many others.
This memorable evening of glamour, arts, and charitable contribution were chaired by Todd Avery Lenahan and John Gorsuch, and Dawn and Christopher Hume. The Nevada Ballet Theatre in combination with generous support and donations such as Elena Bulatova and the greater arts community celebrates 50 years of impact in 2022.
