Calling all Fresno families! Reverent School of Movement is accepting new students into their calisthenics training classes. Call them at 559-388-1579 to learn more!
It’s always good to start healthy habits young, and of course, that includes regular exercise. Starting your kid early on a routine goes a long way toward making sure they’ll live a long and healthy life, which is what any parent would want! Of course, taking away from your kid’s usual playtime just to get some laps in may not be the best idea either. If your child isn’t enjoying themselves, they might be quite resistant to the idea of regular exercise.
That’s why Reverent School of Movement combines both work and play into a fun-filled calisthenics training program! When your child takes part in the facility’s group classes, they can hone their abilities with their peers, all while doing what they’d normally do at the playground, trampoline, swimming pool, or even on your couch at home. This way, your kid can stay active while having fun and making new friends!
Sound like a good fit for your family? You’re in luck! You can register for Reverent School of Movement’s 23/24 fall-spring season classes now. Visit https://reverentmovement.com/ to learn more!
There’s strong evidence that children can benefit greatly from strength training.
According to Mayo Clinic, proper strength training can help your child:
Strength training can also bolster your child’s bone development, promote good blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and help them maintain a healthy weight. It’s like a one-way ticket to Health Town!
Don’t get mixed up between strength training and weightlifting, bodybuilding, or powerlifting, though. They’re different things; the latter three activities aren’t really suitable for kids, since they can put too much strain on developing muscles and tendons. That’s why Reverent School of Movement’s calisthenics training program only includes bodyweight exercises and freestyle movements that can be performed safely by children, including pull-ups, handstands, and bar swings. Anything your kid does at a playground, they’ll be able to do in Reverent’s gym. It’s basically like extra playtime for them!
Each class will last for 50 minutes and will be divided by age group for students aged 6 and above. For children younger than 5, classes will combine the fundamentals of the focus sport while encouraging developmental milestones.
Does your kid have a lot of excess energy? Or maybe they’re the type to feel like they never get enough time on the bars. It happens! But Reverent School of Movement has weekly open gym sessions that you can bring your child to for some extra training time - or maybe just for some more fun.
And there’s a lot of fun to be had at Reverent School of Movement! In addition to calisthenics, the facility offers group classes for parkour and tricking, as well as specialized programs intended for young mothers.
