Have you ever fallen victim to what I like to call the "half-repair" problem?
You know, when you kinda sorta fix something, but not really - and then it gets worse, and you have to start all over again, wasting more time, and usually even more money?

All you really have to do is pick the right dentist, and they'll take care of the rest, but how do you choose?
For me, it was easy. I went with Dr. Saj Jivraj, because he's literally the "go-to guy" for implanted dentures. What I mean by that, is that if you ask a dentist anywhere in the world where they learned the "All-On-4" technique, there's a good chance they'll mention Dr. Jivraj.

The first thing you should know is that you can get a warranty on your teeth for up to 10 years, and your dental implants for 5 years. Honestly, they're almost certainly going to last longer than that, but I can quite understand why they don't warranty them longer - they're in your mouth.
The second thing you should know is that if you can't get Dr. Jivraj himself, you should find someone he's taught. That isn't too hard, as I understand from his recent time on Fox and PBS, he's taught this technique all over the world. He's also the author of the book 'Graftless Solutions for the Edentulous Patient', which helps to explain the process to other clinicians.
To be honest though, while Dr. Jivraj is awesome, and please don't tell him this - it's not just him that makes me suggest getting the work done there. It's the entire clinic, it's amazing.
It looks like a dentist's office, but actually, it's so much more. Did you know they even have their own in-house lab? They have more sciencey tech tools in there than you can shake a stick at, and I'm never going back to the old way.
For example, remember those gross dental impression trays? How could we forget?
They don't have any of those. Literally, none. They don't need them, because they use some super advanced technology to get a full 3D model of your teeth and mouth, without ever having to touch them. Sure, it looks like a silly, tiny camera on a stick, but it works, and it's SO much better.
That's not my favorite part though. Not even close.
The best part, to me, is that they complete the entire procedure during a single visit. Do you know how long you have to spend walking around in public without your teeth? Zero minutes, zero seconds - I checked, with a stopwatch and everything.
Of course, you can find some or all of these benefits from other dentists, but what you can't find, is the same level of expertise with the All-On-4 procedure. Let me tell you why that matters.
It's called the All-On-4 procedure because it only needs four implanted posts, which is about 50% less than most dentists have to use. That means less trauma during the operation, less healing afterward, and it provides the same amount of strength and durability for your dentures.
Oh, and no bone grafts, did I mention no bone grafts? Maybe that's the best part.
Traditionally implanted dentures almost always require bone grafting - and that's not fun, easy to heal, or cheap. Not with the All-On-4 technique though, they just bypass that problem altogether.
In the rare situation where your facial anatomy may require extra implants, it happens sometimes, and it's no big deal. Dr. Jivraj just deals with it, no muss, no fuss. He'll install as many extra posts as you need, at no extra cost. It's just part of the service.
Just don't forget to ask about your sedation options, before your appointment. You can be awake but unconcerned, or just fall asleep, and wake up with new teeth.
