The Charlotte-based multi-sport event management company has two running races remaining for 2023 that you can sign up for—the Lake Norman Turkey Trot and the Lake Norman Elf Classic Running Festival. Headquartered in Charlotte, NC, Epic Sports Marketing has been organizing and hosting multi-sport events since 1996. To date, they have timed more than 380 races and helped organize events for over 50 different companies, including Disney, Mercedes Benz, and Chick-Fil-A.
The first race that Epic Sports Marketing is accepting registrations for is its 17th Annual Lake Norman Turkey Trot, which will take place on November 23rd, 2023. This race is offered in 5K and 10K distances and takes you on an asphalt course through the scenic Lake Norman area.
Epic Sports Marketing is also hosting its 2nd Annual Lake Norman Elf Classic Running Festival on December 16th, 2023. Like the Turkey Trot, this event is offered in a 5K distance; however, a Half Marathon course is also available if you want to challenge yourself.
Looking ahead to 2024, Epic Sports Marketing has already announced a few more running events. The Wildman Half Marathon & 5K, which happens in March, takes place on a wide-open asphalt course that typically runs much faster than other courses. The 5th Annual Lake Norman Forest Run, which usually provides the best weather for race day, has also been scheduled for June.
All of Epic Sports Marketing's running races are timed using cutting-edge RFID technology installed in each racer bib, ensuring that you're race time is recorded as accurately as possible. Awards are given to the top three finishers by category, including men's, women's, and age group.
