More Affordable Housing In Colorado Springs
The City of Colorado has now released its 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan, which devotes significant attention to affordable housing, homelessness, and community development. Notably, the plan identifies how federal and state funding will be allocated to affordable housing development in our region.
A proposed statewide initiative, known as “Yes in God’s Backyard,” will allow faith-based organizations to begin affordable housing developments on land they own. Colorado Springs Deals points out that our city is already a leader in this respect, with a local church body having plans for 77 affordable housing units.
