CreditNerds.com launches forward as company owner, Eric Counts, earns instructor position with top rated education platform.
Eric Counts of CreditNerds.com has been recognized as a distinguished instructor for the Renatus Organization, a national real estate investment education platform. This recognition is, in part, a result of Counts' work within the Credit and Financing arena, specifically his work in creating a curriculum for all ages that he has made available on his company website www.CreditNerds.com..
Counts, of Paragould, AR, has been involved with the personal and business credit repair and education world for 13 years, after getting his start when working for a company in the credit repair space and quickly realized there was a need for someone to provide these services at a low cost while staying compliant with the laws and regulations that surround the industry. In response to a question on the driving force behind his success, Counts has explained how it really boiled down to compassion and empathy. Having grown up poor, he is well aware of the struggles that come along with not having your finances in order.
Reflecting on the recognition Counts is quoted as saying: "I think the biggest thing a lot of people would really benefit from is understanding that credit is a tool and not a trophy. So many people are scared of it, and I get it... but think about it like this: Power tools can be scary for someone who has never used one. But, once you learn how to use them properly, you can make some amazing things!"
In a recent one-to-one interview, Counts reminisced on other past achievements, which helped build momentum towards the present day. Notably, one of the proudest was his most recent achievement of being asked to be an instructor for Renatus.. "It was simply one of the most humbling and yet proudest moments of my life. It made me realize that all these years of dedication have brought me to a place where I can truly make a difference in people's lives."
In the same interview, Counts stated his intentions for the future. The primary goal for the next 12 months, Counts states, will be to continue to expand their credit education tools and library, and make those tools more available for the parents that so desperately need them during these times. Looking farther ahead, he said, is the aim is to truly change the trajectory of our economy by helping people understand the system of credit and banking. "It is difficult to win a game when you don't know the rules."
When asked more personally about how they want to be perceived and remembered, Counts said: "When people think of me, whether alive or after I have passed on, I want them to think of the times either myself or my company helped them or someone they know. I have said many times that at my funeral, I want a procession of people telling stories of that time I helped them when they needed it most, or the time we were there for them when they had nowhere else to turn."
Counts closed the interview by sharing his recommendation for anybody who wanted to follow in his footsteps in some fashion, perhaps taking the achievements even further. According to Eric Counts, the key is making decisions based on your future, not your present. Short term gratification will never outweigh the benefits of long term planning.... and most importantly, he states, is to chose people over profits. Profits will come and go, he says, but relationships will last a lifetime.
