Activities

Festival Of FUN 2025 has not yet announced the performers who will be featured at the festival, though a preliminary lineup of activities has already been released. This event will feature an “All About You” expo designed to promote inclusivity and understanding, alongside an accessible Try Me sports zone allowing those with disabilities to participate in a range of friendly competitions.

There will also be an accessible Petting space with Reptiles and animals... the perfect opportunity to get up close and personal, and even get a selfie. And a a SINGALONG concert and dance party with live performances from local artists from around Australia with and without disabilities.

Whilst all the outdoor events are free (i.e., the Petting farm, The "Just Better Care" Try Me Sports arena and the All About You Business Expo), the tickets to the concert are $10 each, as there's significant costs that need to be offset. Tickets are selling fast, and you can grab yours here:   https://events.humanitix.com/festival-of-fun-wollongong/tickets

Everyone is Welcome.

Setting An Example

ARHG created this event in 2022 to serve the millions of Australians who are unable to enjoy many live events or festivals due to accessibility challenges, or stigmatisation in society at large. Festival Of FUN was designed specifically to conquer these challenges, creating an open, inviting environment for those with all levels of ability to share a space and celebrate people with different abilities together as one.

The Festival Of FUN is one of the largest participation event for those with disabilities anywhere in Australia. Those unable to attend in person will have the opportunity to watch the performances over livestream, expanding the reach of the event even further.

More About ARHG

Director and founder of ARHG David (Macca) McFarland states, “I've been working in the disability space as a volunteer for over 25 years and what we've found is that there are no events like this especially for families, so we wanted to make an event where we brought everyone together.”

Festival Of FUN is all about accessibility and inclusivity; information about additional events including keynotes, luncheons, and galas, can be found on the organisation’s website.

Get Involved

While the Festival Of FUN is currently an event held exclusively in Australia, organisers have ambitions to expand it into a global enterprise in coming years, creating ample opportunities for those with disabilities world-wide to enjoy accessible festival activities.
