Wordcatcher Publishing has announced it will be attending Carmarthen Book Fair. As a platform for new voices, it is open to meeting authors and discussing their work.
Wordcatcher Publishing has announced that it will be attending Carmarthen Book Fair 2018, held on 11th August. It is a day for book lovers, aspiring writers and those interested in the publishing world to network, buy books, and share a love of reading with friends and families.
More information can be found at: https://facebook.com/events/1794064953984672
Attendees at the event will be able to meet local authors and publishers, learn more about the books they have coming out, and discuss their favourite stories. In addition to this, there will be workshops, talks and readings.
All of these events are free of charge for anyone who’s interested in attending, making for a great day out for all the family. Among these will be a children’s storytelling event at 14:00 and a creative corner for children to do artwork or write stories.
Refreshments will be available at the event, and there will also be a raffle with a range of great prizes for people to win. All of the proceeds from the raffle will go towards mental health causes.
Wordcatcher Publishing is on the lookout for poets and authors of historical fiction in particular, and welcomes meeting authors at the book fair. Interested parties will be able to talk to the team, discuss their work, and pitch ideas.
Wordcatcher is a hybrid publisher offering traditional publishing deals in which authors pay nothing, and assisted publishing where authors pay for the services they need and retain publishing rights. Meanwhile, its Onion Custard Kids imprint is aimed at children and pre-teens.
The publisher aims to give new authors a platform to publish their work with a team working to high editorial standards. The editing team will offer creative and technical advice, help authors to develop their skills, and develop an understanding of the industry.
Founded in 2016, Wordcatcher was created to help voice new talent. Anyone attending the event can book a time slot in advance by emailing [email protected].
