Twenty-five percent of our young adult patients are presenting with dangerously high blood pressures due to Covid-related kidney inflammation. Dr. Sharon is treating them successfully
Kidney disease is on the rise in young adults, and there’s evidence that Covid-19 may be to blame. Doctors are seeing an increase in cases of renal hypertension, or high blood pressure in the kidneys, in people aged 20 to 40. And while it’s still not clear how Covid-19 is linked to the disease, there’s growing evidence that the virus may be causing it.
One study, published in the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, found that Covid-19 may be damaging the kidneys of young people infected with the virus. The study looked at 15 young adults who had been infected with Covid-19 and developed renal hypertension. All of them showed signs of kidney damage, including proteinuria (excess protein in urine) and increased levels of creatinine (a marker of kidney damage).
Another study, published in The Lancet, found that Covid-19 may be causing an increase in deaths from renal hypertension. The study looked at data from 18 countries and found that Covid-19 was associated with a six-fold increase in deaths from renal hypertension.
Dr. Thomas Sharon, a nurse practitioner in North Las Vegas, Nevada, providing Covid countermeasures via telehealth across the United States, has found within the past 90 days, several hundred patients aged 16 to 35 with dangerously high blood pressures ranging from 140/95 to 172/118. Dr. Sharon has treated them with low-dose Losartan (25 mg-50 mg daily) with 100% success in lowering the blood pressures to within the normal range. About 1% of those who completed their blood tests were in stage 1 renal failure.
The CDC has reported on their website that approximately 100 million people in the US are struggling with Long Covid. About half are young adults. The number of those people with high blood pressure due to kidney inflammation is unknown. Since high blood pressure is known as "the silent killer" with no symptoms until it's too late, Dr. Sharon is a strong advocate of public education to encourage anyone who has any any exposure to Covid virus or anyone who has been vaccinated to check their blood pressures. We at In Good Health PC are able to get blood pressures and all other vital signs remotely, using an artificial intelligence app that takes a face scan through the patient's cell phone camera. Using this high technology, we have been able to find a large number of young adults with dangerously high blood pressures and treat them successfully.
All those who have ever been exposed to Covid virus and those who have been vaccinated should visit In Good Health PC online to book an appointment in real time to check for high blood pressure and evaluate the risk of developing other complications. All of the known complications can be treated successfully as long as treatment is rendered early before any irreversable damage occurs.
