Houston’s high concentration of companies that are directly part of or contributors to critical infrastructure, Houston’s energy sector is a prime target for malicious cyber actors – especially, for nation-state actors.
Ecuron Inc. gave a presentation at the Petroleum Club of Houston (35th Floor) located in the Total Plaza Building, 1201 Louisiana, Houston, TX 77002 on November 4th, 2022 at noon. The organizer of the event was the American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE), a non-profit (IRS 501-6C), volunteer organization with 11 Chapters across the US. Registration for walk-ins opens at 11 am.
The talk "Cybersecurity in Oil and Gas - Threats and Strategies to Counter Them" covered major cyber incidents in the oil and gas industry, the impact they had, and the complex landscape of existing threats. The presentation included practical steps to securing your company as well as yourself as an employee.
With nearly 5000 energy-related firms for virtually every segment of the energy industry, including exploration, production, transmission, marketing, supply, and technology, Houston is the Energy Capital of the World.
