Tampere artists are uniting to provide the best home-based fitness and workout classes during lockdown. You can enjoy unique activities like beer yoga, dance sessions, workouts and more.

With countries around the world on lockdown, home workouts are more popular than ever. But you need variety to keep from getting bored, and this is where Digital Culture Connect is ideal.

House of Dance, the Tampere-based studio, is bringing together a diverse group of local artists to offer a range of yoga, dance, and mindfulness workout sessions online. Digital Culture Connect is a week-long event and will run from the 8th of May through to the 15th.

Digital Culture Connect will offer a range of fitness options from different dance styles, workouts, stretching, singing, mindfulness, and beer yoga. The aim is to help overcome loneliness and promote a healthy lifestyle during the current COVID-19 epidemic.

The range of dance classes on offer includes Salsa koulu, Bachata tampere, Reggaeton, Bollywood, and Just Dance. All are taken by enthusiastic professional teachers who run interactive, fun classes.

The dance classes can elevate mood, increase energy, and produce endorphins to improve day-to-day enjoyment at home. Alongside this, you will be able to sign up for a basics of tricking course and other workshops.

The stretching workshop will introduce you to an extensive repertoire of beneficial stretching exercises. Mindfulness can help you to train your minds to pay attention in the present moment.

There is also a live concert in which renowned Finnish singer, Leea Lepisto, will take requests from live viewers to create a personal live concert to be enjoyed at home.
