Since 1939, Finn’s Garage, a full-service car repair business has been a fixture in the Webster, New York community. Located at 45 E. Main Street, Finn’s Garage opened originally as a Texaco Station run by George Finn. Today, as the family-owned business looks to celebrate 80 years of providing auto repair services in Webster, Finn’s is operated by Kevin Finn, the third generation of Finns to run to the business.
According to Kevin Finn, part of the reason for Finn’s incredible lasting power is due to its long history in Webster. However, that longevity has only been made possible by providing exceptional service for nearly eight decades. “My grandfather and great uncle who first opened Finn’s garage learned how to repair cars on the job. But today, all of our mechanics have to hold a degree in Automotive Technology and maintain ASE certification. We have been committed to providing premium service and the best car repair services in the area for years, so we need to have the best technicians on our team,” Finn said.
As a mainstay Webster business, Finn’s Garage has evolved as the world and the community around it has, according to Finn, who began working part-time in the family garage as a boy. Finn became a full time service writer by 1996, and today ensures that the legacy of his family is ensured for years to come. To that end, under his direction, Finn’s Garage expanded most recently in 2012, with an addition to the building along with the latest equipment necessary to perform all auto repairs its loyal customers may need. But this expansion, along with all changes that have come to Finn’s Garage over nearly 80 years are rooted in a singular principle, according to Finn.
“Fixing cars correctly the first time—making the vehicle safe and reliable—has kept Finn’s Garage going from the beginning,” he says.
