According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), there are over 5.5 million Australians living with a disability. To help support people with disabilities and celebrate them, the ARHG Foundation brings together a large community of people every year for a Festival of FUN.

Festival of FUN began as a way for the ARHG Foundation to spread awareness of the daily challenges people with disabilities face.
Through its annual live music and entertainment event, Festival of FUN hopes to inspire a global movement of diversity, community, and most importantly, accessibility, helping people with disabilities gain better professional opportunities, pursue more artistic passions, and access entertainment without limits.
“I've been in the disability space as a volunteer for over 25 years and what we've found is that there are no events like this especially for families, so we wanted to make an event where we brought everyone together,” said Director and Founder David "Macca" McFarland.
Festival of FUN Wollongong 2025 will feature vibrant, live music from a lineup of talented Australian artists with and without disabilities. By providing full accommodations for people with disabilities, organizers will make sure everyone in attendance is comfortable and can enjoy the immersive experience of its singalong concert.
On top of a live music show, there will be a number of fun, accessible activities from face painting to petting zoos.
Festival of FUN has also incorporated an expo with info booths and interactive demos into its event to showcase the local services working to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families, as well as additional resources.
The ARHG Foundation has hosted a wide range of fundraising events across Australia with a special focus on physical and mental health. With its flagship Festival of FUN, the not-for-profit organisation is producing one of the largest national and international events for people with disabilities.
“The organisers of the Festival of FUN are providing the community with a remarkable day of entertainment that can be enjoyed by all, regardless of ability, said Amber Roy, National Development Manager at Shared Living ARUMA.
