Suetables is a working jewelry studio based in Toronto, Canada that was begun in 2004 by Sue Henderson. Suetables design, create and hand stamp sterling silver and 14K gold dipped jewelry and use designs that incorporate charms, words and symbols to inspire and celebrate loved ones. They also curate like-minded jewelry and accessories brands. The company has been featured in magazines such as Lou Lou, Hello and Today’s Parent Magazine.
The company is opening a second store at 363 Roncesvalles Avenue, Toronto, ON M6R 2M8 (in the High Park area) in mid November. Customers can visit this new store to browse their collections and to create personalized, one-of-a-kind jewelry with meaning on the spot.
The store store offers a range of bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings, charms and pendants which are available in sterling silver, 10K gold or 14K dipped gold. Customers can choose from different charms to customize to create their own bespoke pieces of jewelry and include various designs and gemstones, including crosses, tags, hearts and shapes relating to pets, angels, sports and much more. Many of these charms can be further personalized with engraving.
Many of the bigger pieces in their collections, such as bracelets and necklaces are also available to personalize by engraving or hand stamping letters and words at their design bar. Pieces, such as the Lexi Nameplate Bracelet, the Sadie Personalized Letter Ring and the Marianne Pendant, can be engraved with names, dates, initials to keep loved ones close. The letters are either hand stamped or laser engraved on to the charm.
One of their most unique and custom offerings is their hand-drawn customization. They can engrave a number of their different pieces with a customer's specified hand-drawn designs or images. They use a local craftsman, David Davidse, who engraves each piece by hand with a tool called a burin. David has a background in hand engraving instruments and has worked around the world in places such as Japan, Argentina, China and France. David can also recreate a loved one’s unique handwriting or signature on jewelry engravings.
