This is the first of several book Cousine has authored. The book was written with the aim in mind to take genre fiction to a new--and bawdier--level by spoofing her way through society's obsession with youth, fame and fortune. There's also particular excitement about this launch because it will be part of the Middle-Aged Hottie Series relaunch.
"Hotter Than Ever" sets its main focus on Lexi Taylor who navigates the minefield that is menopause in this fast-paced fun spin on aging. Readers will likely find a particular interest in how Lexi manages to reclaim her sanity, her self-respect, her sex-drive, and learn the true purpose of her colorful life. The book's cover art was created by damonza.com and "Hotter Than Ever" was published by Amazon Digital Services.
Linda Cousine has a background in modeling and interior design. Cousine's “Wit Lit” series, Middle-Aged Hottie, is a satirical account of a fading model fighting to keep her life, her looks, and her libido on track in the face of impending menopause, and inspired by Linda’s own struggles. .
When asked about why she wrote the book, Cousine said: “I like to think of myself as the aging beauty queen who survived the minefield that is menopause, bruised but not broken. And the woman who when life gave her lemons--made herself a whisky sour. That's what this book is all about.”
Cousine has hopes that the book will help women look at menopause differently. She says, "I decided to share my journey, albeit satirically and within the guise of my alter ego, Lexi Taylor, a fading super model struggling to keep her life, her looks, and her libido on track in the face of impending menopause. Thus began the 'Middle-Aged Hottie' book series, a funny fictitious romp into the wild world of menopause."
In a recent interview, the author made a point of thanking her daughters, her husband, her mother, and her sister, for their part in the creation of the book, saying: “I'd like to thank my sister Lisa, who is my number one fan and champion.”
