Foundation for the Future announces addition of Eric Stallmer, former CEO of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation, to its board of directors

Washington, D.C. - Eric Stallmer, the Executive Vice President (EVP) for Government Affairs and Public Policy from Voyager Space, was just named to the Foundation for the Future's board of directors. Eric, a recognized leader in the commercial space sector, joins the Foundation’s board alongside other commercial space advocates as they work to promote development of new financial tools, and workforce development specifically tailored for the needs of the growing space economy.

The Foundation for the Future is an education and advocacy non-profit dedicated to advancing the space economy by developing critical infrastructure to enable it, investment tools to finance it, and a workforce to power it. The Foundation is the first and only organization working with the U.S. Congress to create new financial tools while simultaneously building workforce development pipelines to support the growing demand for all levels of space workers

“As the Foundation continues its rapid growth, it’s important that we help provide thought leadership in the commercial sector and Eric is just the person to help support that”, said Tim Chrisman, F4F co-founder and Executive Director.

Stallmer is currently the EVP of Government Affairs and Public Policy for Voyager Space Holdings where he leads Voyager’s Washington D.C. office. Before moving into that role, Eric spent six years serving as President for the Commercial Spaceflight Federation (CSF), where he led the organization in promoting increased development of commercial spaceflight and inspiring innovation within the sector. Stallmer is part of the National Space Council’s User Advisory Group (UAG) and has provided testimony to Congress on several occasions.

He serves as a member of the FAA’s Commercial Space Transportation Advisory Committee (COMSTAC), served as a co-chair of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airspace Integration Aviation Rulemaking Committee (ARC), and was a member of the Space Launch and Reentry ARC and the Spaceport ARC.

The Foundation announced that Stallmer will head up the Space Advocacy Committee on the board and will serve as a key link between the Foundation and legislative offices across Capitol Hill.

"We are building ourselves into the finance communities’ central organization for thought leadership, education and advocacy related to space. As we do that, Eric’s experience at CSF, as an advocate to Congress and in his role with Voyager is an invaluable addition to our board, and we are honored to have him agree to join us." Chrisman said.
