Apart from CPR and First Aid, the newly relocated American Heart Association local training site also provides instructional classes in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), BLS for healthcare providers, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). All classes offered by Illinois Safety LLC are taught by professional firefighters and/or paramedics.
The classes are open to anyone interested in receiving certification for the critical care techniques offered. Training is conducted at any of the company’s locations or, if requested, on-site classes can be provided to businesses, schools, churches, and other such institutions.
Illinois Safety LLC encourages that there are many reasons for you to work towards certification in any or all of the courses they offer. For one, certification is an important asset for you, if you’re in the healthcare sector or are a first responder at your place of employment.
“Even if your position doesn’t require such a certification, having one better equips you to respond to an emergency, whether it’s at work, home, or elsewhere,” a representative for the company explains.

According to the institution representative, PALS is one of the most overlooked, yet most important, accreditations available in today’s healthcare industry. It has been updated as per the science found in the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
The instructor-led PALS classroom course is conducted using a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies. These modes of instruction are used to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics, the representative explained.
The representative added that the BLS certification is a well respected and well-known distinction that can be used to expand your employment opportunities. Through this course, you will be equipped with the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
