Finally, a fully comprehensive 3-hour online training course is available which covers all the various scenarios in detail.
The name A.L.I.V.E. was chosen to mark the basic five steps which you are taught, and it stands for Assess, Leave, Impede, Violence, and Expose. In a situation where you are faced with a threat such as a terrorist attack or a random shooting, the courses teach you that doing nothing and freezing, is often the worst option. It teaches you the best ways to respond and the order in which those responses should be carried out.
