The November 1st launch transitioned Turnure Medical Group from a for-profit corporation to a non-profit tax exempt corporation in partnership with the Healing Grove Health Center Foundation. Turnure Medical Group combines a Christian ethos with the sound, science-backed practice of Western medicine. Their new concierge membership is based on the triple pillars of health care, nurture for the soul, and respect for culture.
Membership benefits include unlimited primary care, the personal cell phone number of one's assigned physician, SMS texting with medical experts and the Turnure office, extended duration visits from doctors when needed, self-scheduling of appointments, a 24-hour telephone service, nutritionist support, and an annual physical assessment. Members also have access to low-cost medications, labs and imaging studies.
The company has also shared details of its charity care policy and the eligibility criteria to qualify for a reduced-fee membership. If applicants can provide evidence that one or more family members are refugees from Afghanistan or produce documentation showing ELI (extremely low income) status, they are entitled to reduced fees. In Sacramento County, this equates to earning less than 30% of the median income for the area as per the Department of Urban Housing and Development guidelines.
Urgent care services, headed by Dr. Vance VanTassell, are available to all members of the community Monday to Friday from 11 am to 8 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 6 pm. These include procedures for laceration repair, abrasions, burns, catheter insertion and removal, ultrasound imaging, and treatment for fractures and breakages.
