To mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus, San Bernardino County has banned all gatherings, determining Church members to rely on online streaming services for access to sermons and worship.
Church of the Woods is committed to supporting the Lake Arrowhead community and providing encouragement during these unprecedented times.
In his March 29 sermon, Pastor Rod Akins discusses the importance of faith and hope in times of crisis and encourages the community to show mutual support and understanding.
He references numerous inspirational Biblical passages that highlight the importance of hope, prayer and repentance. These include verses from the Chronicles, the First Epistle of Peter, and other relevant books, all interpreted in light of the current Covid-19 crisis.
