Amanda Lee Jones offers private and semi-private drawing and oil painting classes carefully designed to teach children the fundamentals of classical drawing and painting. At the atelier, she combines her training in education with her training in art to foster enjoyable and efficient art learning.
The summer course includes classes of 90 minutes starting on May 30 through August 17, 2019. Students may register for as many or as few classes as they wish and schedule them according to their individual timetable. They also have the option to add extra classes anytime.
The tuition is $35 per class but there is a 10% discount for all summer classes registered and paid for before May 1, 2019.
During the semester, all drawing supplies are provided for the student free of charge. Backups and supplementary materials are also provided at no additional cost once the student progresses to painting. However, at this stage, students will be responsible for providing their own supplies.
Amanda Lee Jones has her BS in elementary education and received art training under Mary Watkins at 3 Muses School of Fine Arts. After teaching at 3 Muses for 2 years, she opened her own studio where she offers children personalized guidance in learning classical art skills.
A satisfied parent said: “My 11 year old daughter has been taking classes from Amanda for at least 2 years and her progress in drawing has been amazing to watch. Amanda started her with basic pencil drawings of animals/objects while learning perspective and shading techniques. She then moved to much larger scale black and white pastels and the next step will be painting! The class size is small so Amanda can spend time with each student. My daughter always comes home with fun stories and great art!”
