Using Twilio’s AI CX omnichannel engagement technology, curaJOY is developing plans to enhance real-time, AI-driven mental health support on Discord, Instagram, and other instant messaging and SMS platforms to reach youths in distress. These services will also improve accessibility for families struggling with Medicaid and special education (IEP) processes and reduce clinical backlogs for both clinicians and educators.
Additionally, curaJOY’s technology will support a greater capacity for functional behavior assessments (FBA) and other psychoeducational assessments mandated by IDEA, providing educational institutions with the means to identify the root causes of behaviors that impair learning rather than resorting to suspensions or expulsions.
In fact, the organization’s latest trials have shown that its AI-powered platform outperforms PhD-level clinicians in behavioral analysis, achieving 90% accuracy in identifying functions of behavior, compared to 50% in traditional methods.
That’s not to say that the human aspect of it will be completely eliminated, though; these technologies mainly serve to streamline the whole process to help clinicians struggling with huge backlogs and burnout.
