HR Certified, LLC has teamed up with HRCI and NAAAHR to introduce a pioneering program designed for HBCU students. The program is dedicated to equipping students with valuable professional development and networking opportunities, and to guiding them towards a successful career in the HR industry.
HR Certified, LLC is proud to announce a strategic partnership with the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) and the National Association for African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR) to launch a pilot program for students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
This program aims to empower HBCU students by providing opportunities for professional development, networking, and personal growth and positioning them to be competitive in the HR industry with its Associate HR Masterclass.
The Associate HR Masterclass incorporates a program developed by HRCI specifically for higher education institutions. It is designed for institutions offering business or human resources degrees and wanting to add HRCI certification as a capstone course or professional certification.
Students will complete the program (on campus or virtually) to earn their Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) certification in addition to their college degree. This will allow them to stand out among their peers and apply their classroom knowledge to real-world situations.
The program aligns with NAAAHR's vision and mission to provide a forum for the career development of Black and African American HR professionals. It creates pathways for underrepresented talent from HBCUs, with a focus on achieving diversity at all levels of the HR sector. The program targets undergraduate and graduate students at HBCUs.
The initial cohort will feature students from Morgan State University, Coppin State University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Howard University, and Hampton University.
HR Certified is dedicated to becoming the premier supplier of diverse talent in the HR industry. They leverage resources to cultivate a diverse and inclusive workforce through award-winning programs like the Associate HR Masterclass, which is open to anyone with 0-2 years of HR experience looking to enter or grow in the industry.
