Aiming to increase the knowledge of the local Bradford Muslim community, Al Markaz Ul Islami (01274 270043), an Islamic community hub based in West Yorkshire, have launched numerous full and part-time courses that broaden and enhance the local Muslim education, both secular and spiritual.
Bradford, West Yorkshire-based Al Markaz Ul Islami, an Islamic community hub who host Dhikr gatherings every Wednesday and Friday, have recently launched Aalim and Aalima full and part-time courses. These diploma, certificate and short courses focus on Islamic laws. Art, academic improvement and recreational activities are also available. All stimulate the mind and allow brothers and sisters to explore countless self-improvement opportunities.

Recently released, the courses look at the historical development of Islamic law, the Islamic law of contract, Muslim family law and the Islamic law of inheritance. Other classes covered are Islam for the deaf, leadership training for Imams, funeral ritual, Tajweed for beginners, Islamic studies, and Aqeeda Tahawiyya.
Those who are seeking to awaken their creative side can study Arabic calligraphy and Naat/ Nasheed training. While recreational pursuits for those wanting to get fit and have fun include martial arts and archery.
The majority of courses run for between 5 to 40-weeks, depending on the type of course selected. Fees are kept to a minimum so everyone can enjoy several experiences and also maintain a budget.
Established in 2010 (Ramadhan 1431), the Al Markaz Ul Islami Masjid, serves and caters for the religious, educational and social welfare needs of the local Muslim community in Bradford. As such, Al Markaz Ul Islami is a community hub that enables Muslims to access education, both secular and spiritual and other beneficial facilities. Over the last two years, this community group have launched numerous projects and developed services that broaden and enhance the knowledge of local Muslims.
When asked about the facility and courses on offer, one student said, “Excellent educational establishment for all levels of knowledge. The zikar is of 2 types one is quite zikar and the other is loud zikar. Really positive vibes.”
