When asked about the reasons behind creating this event, the host of the event, Rebecca Alderman with Momsandguns.com said:
"This is an event for a rural community of military and civilian families to come together to honor those who have given some and others who have given all. This event provides opportunity to grow stronger as a community in support of local and nationwide military families. It also enables children to learn why it's important to always show honor and respect for the military."
