"Analytics: Essential Tools and Methods" is an interdisciplinary program that covers mathematics, statistics, programming, and various software tools and their use in data collection, storage, analysis, and visualization, including their practical application in a business context.

The program consists of 3 courses from Georgia Tech. The first course, "Introduction to Analytics Modeling", will take you 16 weeks and will cover fundamental analytics models and methods, including statistical models and machine learning. You'll learn to use models for clustering, data smoothing, validation, prediction, decision making, and more.

The second course is "Computing for Data Analysis". This 15-week-long introduction to basic programming principles will give you a hands-on experience using modern analytical tools, including Python, R, and SQL.

"Data Analytics for Business", the 16-week-long final course of the program, focuses on the practical application of data analysis tools and using business data for making decisions. Practical examples will help you learn to apply proper techniques and avoid common pitfalls.

If you successfully complete all three courses and earn a verified certificate in each, you will receive a MicroMasters certificate. The three courses are part of Georgia Tech’s full Online Master of Science in Analytics, and if you are admitted to this program, up to 9 hours of credit can be applied towards the 36 hours required for this degree.
