After months passed with no live music happening in this iconic venue, it was time for reinvention. By August of 2020, Ron Sumner, tech director for the Eureka Springs Auditorium, began turning his imagination into action.
It would take the help of cameramen, an announcer, and the cooperation of the CAPC and the City of Eureka Springs to have the concept come into realization.
The idea would be to host live music concerts from the historic venue in a way that would allow online access. In this manner, concert gatherings common before the pandemic could be enjoyed by even larger virtual audiences.
You can now access these concerts which are are now happening on a mostly weekly basis– usually on Thursdays, though changes may occur as 2020 moves into 2021. The first concert happened on August 27th with Kurt Hunter, a local singer-songwriter.
These and future " Live at the Aud" concerts can be enjoyed live at the time of their performance, or later when it's more convenient to the viewer.

By doing so, Eureka Springs tourists, travelers, locals, and music lovers from anywhere can enjoy music concerts and other events being live-streamed and recorded from the historic Auditorium in Eureka Springs Arkansas.
Many of these performers are local and regional talent. Listeners are invited to discover live music from artists that they may never have found otherwise. It's also a way for the town of Eureka Springs to keep bringing live acts to the Auditorium for people to enjoy safely.
