Shady Blue, whose real name is Folashade Aboderin, is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Nigeria, West Africa. Music has always been an important part of her life and childhood, with her father being a successful jazz musician and producer.
Influenced by his music, Shady Blue decided to follow in his footsteps and pursue a career in music herself. She joined her local church choir aged 6 where she wowed audiences with her three-part harmonies and spectacular vocal range and has since been singing and writing her own material.
Shady Blue mixes her influences from soul, r&b and jazz with her Afrocentric style, and with her unique vocal ability, she creates an individual, recognisable sound. She works with various producers to create her own music, arranging musical instrumentation to match her ideas.
The new single has a steady tempo and an upbeat melody that creates a feel-good effect. Her soft vocals complement the rhythm of the track and blend well to create her typical Afrocentric style.
