Steven Lafferty first moved to Atlanta and settled in the Marietta suburb with his wife and daughter, he thought he’d be at his 9 to 5 job forever.
First there were longer hours at work and then he was laid off from his job which involved refuse collection in Marietta. He then decided it was time to make a go of his own business, opening his Atlanta Junk Removal company, Rakers.
Rakers junk removal began in 2016. After growing tired of the corporate world, Steven Lafferty opened the Marietta based junk removal company. “Sure, you get a steady paycheck, but you are also expected to work 50 or 60 hours a week.”
Wanting a more stable life for himself where he could devote more time to his family, he decided to go into business for himself, opening the junk removal company which services Marietta, Kennesaw, Roswell, Alpharetta, Dunwoody and Sandy Springs.
Their clients can’t believe how quickly and efficiently the husband and wife team are able to remove items like mattresses, break down bulk desks and even clean out sheds.
“I wish I’d done this sooner.” says Anita Bergen of Acworth who hired Rakers to haul away several large bookcases, a desk and some other furniture she no longer needed after her spouse passed away.
“I was shocked when Steven and Ann showed up and said it would just be the two of them working on the junk haul away from my home. I mean these were large and heavy items that I wanted removed from my house. Steven was able to break it down in no time! This is junk removal done right!”
Rather than keep full rooms or sheds full of items that they no longer need, Atlanta area residents are hiring companies like Rakers to haul away items like unused exercise equipment, outdated bedroom sets and more. Raker junk removal services a 25 mile radius of Marietta which includes Canton, Woodstock and Kennesaw to the north, Sandy Springs, Smyrna and Duwnoody to the south and Roswell, Alpharetta neighborhoods to the east.
Where did the name Rakers come from? The first ever garbage collectors were called “Rakers” because they “raked” up trash. Rakers embodies dependability, quality, and ingenuity, according to Steven. For more information visit https://RakersJunkRemoval.com
