As the music video highlights, the driving law does have a loophole that allows you to use your phone as long as it is on a mount, so you can still have GPS or other information on hand while driving.
With the Michigan hands-free driving law coming into effect on June 30th, 2023, as a driver, you may be unaware of the change, or know the law’s specific details regarding mobile phone use while driving. However, as failure to understand what is and is not allowed can lead to fines, community service, and points being added to your license, it’s important that you know these details.
