To create a custom pillow, you start by selecting the type of pillow you want made. You then upload the photo or graphic that you want to be displayed on the pillow; in this instance, perhaps a photo of the newlyweds. After the photo has been uploaded, Pilloo’s design tool generates a mockup that you can edit and adjust until it meets your specifications. Once finalized, you submit your order.
As far as what sizes and shapes of pillows are available, you can either choose a custom size and shape or one of Pilloo's standard sizes and shapes. With the custom option, the pillow is cut in the shape of the photograph's subject, resulting in a personalized shape that can't be duplicated. This option comes in four different sizes, with measurements taken from the bottom of the pillow to the top of the pillow. Pilloo’s Montreal design team manufactures every custom pillow by hand, carefully printing the designs, cutting the fabrics, and stitching the edges together. They also operate the machine that fills the pillows with stuffing.
In terms of materials, the pillow shells are made using a combination of high-quality polyester and soft velvet, making them ideal if you're wanting to give an elevated, more lavish wedding gift. For the filling, they use soft and fluffy synthetic stuffing, giving the pillows a more luxurious shape and feel. Additionally, both the shells and filling are eco-friendly, hypoallergenic, and anti-microbial.
