The addition of new reservations software will soon allow a Sunshine Coast Hinterland accommodation venue to meet customer demand and offer single night stays.
If you have ever searched for Sunshine Coast Hinterland accommodation for families or groups you will know that it is very difficult to find holiday house options in the Maleny, Montville, Mapleton and Flaxton areas where you can stay for just one night.
Generally, holiday houses adhere to a strict minimum 2 night stay policy so that they can offset the cleaning and maintenance costs associated with each stay. This may be great for venue because it increases profitability, however for many families and groups (especially those staying in the area to attend weddings) it is just not practical to stay for more than one night and it is difficult for the to justify paying for additional nights that they have no intention of using.

Nicola told us "Up until recently our online booking systems didn't allow us to offer a mixture of minimum nightly periods and we have been forced to follow the industry standard for holiday houses and offer minimum 2 night stays. We are currently in the process of updating our reservations software which integrates with all of the major booking engines like AirBnB, booking.com, Tripadvisor etc and we will soon be able to offer our guests more flexible options."
