Originally organized by United Methodist Church members in 2022, the highly anticipated Christmas Market is slated to continue its yearly tradition, bringing vendors from all over the Mt. Pleasant/Holly Springs, MS area to sell their wares. Many of these merchants had previously appeared at the local Farmers’ Market, which ran from June to September earlier this year. If you missed out on that, now’s your chance to grab what you want!
Of course, the event is not limited to farmers; the United Methodist Church also welcomes vendors who are interested in selling other types of goods. All kinds of unique handicrafts will be there, which means you’ll be able to score some truly unique and memorable Christmas gifts - all without worrying about supply chain issues!
But that’s not to say you won’t be able to treat yourself, though. You can bet your bottom that there’ll be a ton of tasty goodies to partake in at the Christmas Market!
“We’ll be selling sausages and biscuits for breakfast, as well as other sweets and treats throughout the day,” says Colet Pierce, an event organizer and vendor who will have homemade cheese balls, baked goods, and jellies at her booth. Yum!
The Christmas Market will take place primarily in the church’s Fellowship Hall. If you’re interested in selling here, you won’t have to register in advance; just contact Pierce directly for a spot or simply arrive on the morning of the 26th. Booths will cost $25, and these fees will be donated directly to the United Methodist Church. All proceeds you make in the event will be yours to keep, though.
“There is no limit to how many vendors we can accommodate,” Pierce adds. “As long as the weather is good, vendor booths can be set up in the parking lot.”
In addition to their annual Christmas Market, the United Methodist Church is also planning an old-fashioned beef stew fundraiser event in February 2025, which will coincide with the Super Bowl. Interested in taking part? You’ll be able to keep track of all updates by visiting the United Methodist Church’s and Farmers’ Market’s Facebook pages.
