The recently launched children’s book, which was inspired by poetry from Marcus Mundy and written by Dr. Shanthy Edward, was illustrated to be colorful and engaging, using bright drawings and poems meant to be recited aloud to share a message about differences and uniqueness.
At 26 pages, the just-released kids’ book We Are All Different And That’s Okay is intended for reading levels preschool through 3rd grade, and kids 1-8 years old.
One of the book’s authors, Dr. Shanthy Edwards, has an M.A. in Clinical Psychology. Her aim in sharing this book, including by starting with it her quote, “Every child is an opportunity for the world to become better” is to share lessons she’s learned in the professional world and make an impact now with a younger generation.
If you are wondering how the book is laid out, We Are All Different And That’s Okay, the newly released book is written in rhyme that follows the pattern of only a few lines per page. This is intended to allow younger readers to follow the pace of the story and read along without losing their place.
The recently released book is intended to be a personal piece, as Dr. Shanthy Edward dedicates it to her nieces and nephews. Likewise, the illustrations are inspired by the imaginations of Sunaina and Jeykumar Edward.
Reader Tracey Bailey left the following review on Amazon after her purchase. “I love this book for kids. It is bright and colorful in the illustrations and very easy to understand even for small children. I love the story behind this book. Highly recommend this book for everyone.”
