The team behind Tenue de Soleil wants to show you the importance of allowing youngsters and parents alike to appreciate their moments in the sun.
Being sunburnt 5 or more times, specifically throughout childhood increases your risk of skin cancer later on in life! It’s estimated that the number of new melanoma cases diagnosed in 2021 will increase by 5.8 percent. The vast majority of melanomas are caused by the sun. In fact, one UK study found that about 86% of melanomas can be attributed to exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun.
The majority of parents use sunscreen to protect their kids, normally apply only once and in small amounts. In order to be entirely reliable, sunscreen needs to be reapplied every 2 hrs and also after every swim. It's a pretty difficult task when you have playful youngsters getting ready to go and enjoy a long day by the water, not to mention an expensive one!
So we want to welcome you in 2021, and introduce you to Dr. Daniel Kadouch! He is on a mission to save your children from excessive sun exposure which can lead to skin diseases/cancer/melanoma. By joining his cause, you will also save a lot of time and money and will have peace of mind.

Under The Same Sun helps people with albinism in Africa to overcome discrimination through education and advocacy. Albinism is a hereditary condition that causes a lack of coloring in skin, hair, and eyes. Individuals with albinism are a lot more susceptible to skin cancer because the lack of melanin in their skin leaves them unguarded from the sun. A lot of children with albinism as young as 10 in sub-Saharan Africa have some form of early-stage skin cancer and only 2% live past the age of 40. Many of them are not aware of the risk from the sun or how to protect themselves.
