Ontario Medical Aesthetic Education: Online CoolSculpting Course With Practice

May 10, 2023

Want to learn how to become a CoolSculpting technician? The Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy (873-363-1028) can help. With their hybrid learning system, you can progress at your own pace, while still receiving one-on-one attention, and hands-on training working with real clients.

When I was growing up, I really wanted to be an astronaut.

Not because I was a huge fan of space, but because as a kid, I always thought astronauts would get to play with cool lasers and the best medical technology.

Boy, was I ever wrong.

I've been watching NASA updates for years, and I've never seen an astronaut use a cool laser gun, so I've officially changed my childhood dream to the occupation that does get cool lasers and next-generation medical tech - a medical aesthetician.

As an added bonus, it's also a whole lot easier to start a new career in medical aesthetics, than it is as an astronaut, and you don't have to wear that silly suit.

The Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy makes it so easy, you can even do most of it at home. They use a unique training program with several online components, which allows you to progress through courses at your own pace, before receiving practical, hands-on training from a Dermysk specialist.

Of course, you'll have to visit one of their academy locations for that part of the training, but that's easy. They're located all across Canada.

You can get all the details on their courses, and what it takes to register, just visit https://dermysk.com/pages/academy

As a student of the Dermysk Academy, you will learn how to safely perform popular procedures such as radiofrequency rejuvenation, CoolSculpting, and several techniques that use neat laser tools to improve a client’s skin, remove unwanted hair, or eliminate otherwise permanent tattoos. Using their online courses, you can complete the majority of your Basic course at home, with only a single week of in-person training required.

Just don't do what I did, and make "pew pew" noises while using a laser on a client... at least until you know whether or not they'll think it's funny.

You're probably wondering, what makes this training academy different, and why should you care, right?

Well, what's different about the Dermysk Academy is that it offers real experience, with real clients, in a real clinic.

By building their academy next to their clinic, the Dermysk team allows you to work with actual clients, while still being fully supervised by an experienced technician at all times. At the end of your course, you won't just know how to perform a wide variety of medical aesthetic procedures, you'll have real experience, in a real setting.

That's really important because you don't want to look nervous in front of your clients. This way you'll be comfortable, calm, and ready to respond correctly if anything goes wrong - don't worry, they'll cover that in your training too.

While each course is primarily focused on medical aesthetic procedures and techniques, they also include information about legal and regulatory considerations, dealing with problematic clients, and running a business. Each course also acts as a prerequisite for the next, more advanced course, though you may also qualify for advanced courses if you already have several years of relevant work experience.

To enroll in the Basic course, you only require a high school diploma or any form of relevant job experience. While this course does require one week of in-person training, the Dermysk team has made as much of the “book learning” available online as possible, so that you can learn at your own pace, without quitting your day job.

What happens after you graduate? Well, that's up to you.

A Medical Aesthetician Certification from the Dermysk Academy will allow you to begin working with paying clients immediately after your graduation, which is recommended before you reapply for the next level of training. The Basic program will certify you in radiofrequency rejuvenation, chemical peels, micro-needling, laser skin care, and several other popular procedures.

It's a long list, and I don't want to type it all out - but you can get all the details on their website.

A spokesperson for the Academy explained, “The basic Medical Aesthetics Course is your key to entry into the practice of Medical Aesthetics. This complete course ensures you come out a well-rounded and reliable Medical Aesthetician with a focus on results and safety.”

There are lots of new exciting career opportunities waiting for you - but how many of them let you play with innovative laser tools and cutting-edge medical technology?

The answer is, not very many - and definitely not astronauts.
