Oregon Carports helps you design your own custom metal structure to protect your vehicles, equipment, or RV, and then get it delivered and installed for free in Portland, OR.
I grew up in an extremely warm climate, and I have to admit I wasn't prepared for some of the winters up north.
After watching me skid around a parking lot for a while, a friend of mine suggested that maybe I should get some snow tires.
Now I may be new here, but even I'm not so dumb that I think making tires out of snow is a good idea - I'll stick with my rubbers, thanks.
With extreme weather of all kinds becoming more common, many people are turning to metal structures as an affordable and durable solution for new buildings. The 3D configurator tool launched by Oregon Carports allows you to design your own customized buildings for a variety of uses, including carports, agriculture, RV storage, and wide-span shelters.

The new 3D Configurator tool includes a wide range of options for additional structural integrity, windows, doorways, decorations, and colors. Every structure from Oregon Carports comes engineer certified, and there is no cost for installation on level land.
While every building is certified to meet Oregon building codes, you can have your structures customized to withstand even the most extreme conditions, with several additional upgrades. This can include 26 gauge paneling that is extremely resistant to heavy snow and ice loads, as well as extra strength tubing and additional trusses.
When the buildings are assembled, every corner and the center of every truss has a brace installed, to provide 360-degree bracing against heavy winds and weight. The structures are guaranteed against all types of weather with a four-season workmanship warranty that covers extreme heat, freezing snows, strong winds, and heavy rains.
After an order is placed, you can receive a complimentary set of engineer-certified plans that will detail the concrete pad requirements for your building. Once the structure is manufactured, Oregon Carports will pack, deliver, and assemble it on a level area, all at no cost. Delivery can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks in most areas, and assembly can usually be completed in a single day.
You can choose from a variety of door and window options, including walk-in doors and Texas-Cut larger doors, which have the top corners angled at 45 degrees, to give a unique and finished look to the structure. Walk-in doors are available in several sizes, including heavy-duty doors, and 72” wide double doors.
A spokesperson for the company said, “Oregon Carports Is the trusted leading authorized dealer for American Carports. We offer storage solutions for any industrial, commercial, agricultural or residential application. We focus on economy and durability so that you get the best quality metal building without breaking the budget.”
While I may have been joking about the snow tires, an Oregon winter is no joke. Protect your vehicles, farm equipment, or just about anything else, with a solid metal structure designed to withstand whatever Mother Nature can throw your way.
