Prostate cancer affects thousands of men every year. In fact, the Canadian Cancer Society estimates that in 2024, nearly 27,900 Canadian men were diagnosed with the disease. But no one should have to navigate this diagnosis alone. That’s why groups like PROSTAID Calgary exist—to ensure that you have the resources, support, and connections needed to face this challenge head-on.
These meetings are completely free and open to anyone affected by prostate cancer. Each session features expert speakers—including medical professionals and cancer survivors—who share the latest advancements, treatment breakthroughs, and valuable coping strategies. More than just a lecture, these gatherings provide an opportunity to ask questions, share personal experiences, and find reassurance among peers who truly understand what you're going through.
Can’t make it in person? No problem. PROSTAID Calgary offers online access via Zoom, and all meetings are recorded and archived online so you can watch whenever it’s convenient for you. Meeting reminders and additional support resources are also available in the Digital Examiner journal.
