Display your Hogwarts House in the best way possible, with a unique carved human (replica) skull from Zane Wylie. These high-value collectibles are only available directly from the artist, with a different design for each house, and even one for the Deatheaters.
Did you know that if you take the first two letters of the first seven Harry Potter books, and put them in order, it spells out a secret message?
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself, there are just so many Harry Potter jokes out there.
Much like the merchandise, it seems like the jokes are a dime-a-dozen, with the quality to match. The market has been entirely oversaturated with cheap Harry Potter-themed stuff, making it easy to find "something" based on the Wizarding World - but the true gems are few and far between.
That doesn't mean they don't exist though - there are some truly breathtaking, and highly collectible items out there - if you know where to find them.
My personal favorite? Hogwarts Skulls.
While “professional skull carver,” is not something often seen on a resume, Zane Wylie has made it his career to carve both real and replica human skulls, for movies, tv shows, and collectors. His newest line of skulls, a Harry Potter collection, includes 7 unique themes and designs that you definitely won't find anywhere else.
Don't take my word for it. Visit https://www.realhumanskull.com/hogwarts-skulls-page to see the full collection, and click on the individual skulls for a better view of all the details.
Though the new line of collectibles is not officially trademarked Harry Potter merchandise, each design is unique to Zane Wylie. The artist has created one design for each Harry Potter house, Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw, as well as three other popular themes. If you still don't know which Hogwarts house you should be in, take a look at each of the skulls, and see if one of them calls your name.
The Harry Potter collection skulls share a similar theme, but each design is entirely unique. The Hufflepuff skull contains a portrait of the house’s founder, Helga Hufflepuff, with related themes and principles. While the Slytherin skull displays the house’s snake coat of arms, with a portrait of Salazar Slytherin, and properties expected in any Slytherin house member, such as “cunning,” and “determination.”
Each skull is crafted from resin, signed and numbered by the artist, and includes a certificate of authenticity. As well as the four Harry Potter house-themed skulls, the new collection also includes a Hogwarts skull, a Deatheater skull, and a Philosopher’s Stone skull.
While the skulls are not currently available for sale directly, Zane Wylie has been including a complimentary skull with the purchase of a hand-drawn sketch. Each sketch includes a unique Harry Potter theme and may come as either an individual sheet of paper or drawn inside one of the Harry Potter books.
Are you looking for a bit of adventure to go with your new Hogwarts skull? You can also find the skulls hidden inside the Wizarding World park in Orlando, or at Disney World. The artist regularly hides his works around the parks for collectors to find and take home, though you'll never find them hidden on rides, or in lines, stores, bathrooms, restaurants, or employee-only areas.
If you are going to search for a hidden skull, make sure you bear in mind exactly what you're looking for, because finding one unexpectedly staring at you out of the dark can be a real scream.
One satisfied collector said, “Amazing service and product. He contacted me to let me know about shipping time. Told him it was a gift and he made sure it was there in time. One of the best products I’ve ordered as well. I will be ordering more reproduction skulls in the future for sure. Couldn’t be happier.”
House-color scarfs and robes are alright, and wands might look nice on display, but nothing will complete your collection like a professionally carved human skull, displaying your house affiliation.
Whether you're a brave Gryffindor, an intelligent Ravenclaw, an empathic Hufflepuff, or a slimy.. I mean, ambitious Slytherin - there's a house-themed skull perfect for your collection.
Just maybe don't display your Deatheater skull while your wizarding friends are around - you wouldn't want them to get suspicious.
