The Post 1917 Steakhouse (781-942-0001) in Reading, MA has officially been in business for one year, and to celebrate, they will be hosting a full week of live entertainment and events.
The residents of Reading, MA have always enjoyed a wide selection of fine dining options, from The Stones Common House to the Venetian Moon bistro. In the spring of 2024, however, that roster expanded even further—and reached new heights—with the grand opening of Jason Carron's Post 1917 Steakhouse.

Now, after one year in business, the restaurant has earned a place at the top of Reading's culinary canon, and indeed, has earned recognition on a regional level as a must-visit destination in the greater Boston area.
To celebrate this great success, Carron and his team are kicking off a week-long event roster, featuring live music, special appearances, and, of course, delicious food.
The announcement, which was delivered via the restaurant’s Facebook page, detailed the schedule for the live event lineup, which will kick off on April 15th with a fundraiser to benefit veterans’ legal services. This event is part of the “dining for a cause” series, which takes place every Tuesday in April.
The following evening, Post 1917 will be visited by celebrity bartenders Sheila Clark and Jimmy Murphy, best known for their screen performances. They will be available throughout the evening to serve the establishment’s full selection of craft cocktails, wines, and other libations.
The champagne toast, which will take place on the following Friday, is the culmination of the event series, celebrating the achievements of the Post 1917 team throughout the past year. If you are unable to attend, you will still have the opportunity to enjoy additional events over the weekend, however, with live music and an appearance by special guest and local artist, Antea Amoroso.
Those who attend any of these events will have access to the full Post 1917 seasonal menu, which currently features specialty staples such as the beef carpaccio, Chilean sea bass, and their signature New York strip steak. Nearly all ingredients used in the preparation of these dishes are locally sourced from Massachusetts farms, and served as fresh as possible.
The announcement of this celebration arrives on the heels of several press features by Jason Carron, wherein he explained his inspiration for creating the Post 1917 brand, and offered some background on his own career. Most recently, the restaurant was profiled in the Reading Recap, which called it a “modern steakhouse with local charm”.
