You Can Easily Recondition & Reuse Your Old Batteries Instead Of Buying New, Expensive Batteries. Further information can be found at http://beginfixing.com/
Are you looking for ways of becoming more environmentally friendly? Perhaps you’re looking for a way to recycle and reuse your old batteries? If so, you may be interested in finding out how to recondition batteries. Batteries are used to power many household appliances, as well as cars, golf buggies, and mobile phones. Even if you’re already using alternative methods of creating energy, such as wind or solar power, a battery is still used to store the electrical power that’s created.
The biggest problem with using batteries so much in our day to day lives is that all batteries will eventually die and will have to go to landfill. A cell can be easily replaced, but in most cases, are hard to recycle. Some batteries, such as a car battery is costly to replace.
Reconditioning batteries has helped many people to reuse old batteries, and this has also had an impact on the environment as fewer batteries are being thrown away. Instead of throwing away old batteries and wasting money on new ones, you can restore your old batteries and return them to an almost new condition and also helps reduce waste and cut down on household costs.
Battery restoration works on all types of batteries and can be used on mobile phone batteries, car batteries, and computer or laptop batteries. You can recondition a large selection of batteries, whether they are rechargeable, long life, or alternative energy batteries. You’ll also be able to restore deep cycle marine batteries, as well as batteries used in golf cart and forklifts.
Reconditioning could help save people lots of money over their lifetime as the cost of batteries is always increasing. Some people have even started making money after learning the process as they can start a business and restore batteries for other people.
Reconditioning also has an impact on the environment because it cuts down on manufacturing and puts fewer batteries into landfills and the recycling system. Making batteries often harms the areas they are produced in, toxins often end up getting into the water sources, and material is sometimes dumped in rural locations.
It’s important not to get the word ‘reconditioned’ mixed up with ‘recharged.’ Reconditioning doesn’t make batteries rechargeable. Instead, it restores them. If you’ve been using rechargeable batteries for a long time, they will eventually lose their ability to hold their charge and will be less effective. Restoring batteries will bring them back to their full working capacity. They will then be able to hold their charge and will be almost as good as when they were first purchased.
How to Recondition Your Batteries
You can recondition your batteries using a few simple things that you probably already have in your home. You don't need to have any experience. All you need is some distilled water, a syringe, a battery charger and voltmeter.
1. Remove the protective rubber casing from the caps. You'll then be able to take off the caps. Make sure that you remove all the caps, some batteries have six or more caps.
2. Next, fill up your battery using the distilled water and then recharge the battery for an hour. Leave the caps off while re charging. You'll be able to see bubbles inside the holes.
If you can't see any bubbles, swap the positive and negative wires over and wait two minutes, until the bubbles start to form. Put the wires back to the right position and then recharge for a further half an hour.
3. You may also need to replace the batteries acid, use the distilled water to mix a new acid. Recharge your battery for two or three hours. This will give you a battery which is as good as new.
