Round Rock Chamber unveils technology and computing business investment brochure, throws open doors to startups and businesses from across the United States.

From Pecans to Silicon

The City of Round Rock, TX has grown from being a quiet bedroom community just north of Austin into one of the fastest-growing cities in the US today. The city has a storied history of making strong economic and community-building choices, from the prosperity of its farming and ranching industry to the Interstate 35 lobby in the 50s.

In 2019, CNBC ranked the Austin-Round Rock region as the #1 place to start a new business in the United States. The Round Rock Chamber has released the new brochure titled "Tech & Computing In Round Rock" to welcome startups and businesses from across the country to relocate or expand to the city. 

The 2019 Comptia Tech Town Index lists Austin as the top destination for tech jobs ahead of Silicon Valley tech towns. 

Round Rock, TX offers a pro-business environment backed by a flourishing economy, world-class infrastructure and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and employment opportunities. The Round Rock Chamber works with the City of Round Rock to assist business owners and corporations seeking to invest in the community by offering accelerated project setup and implementation.

Round Rock has more than 11 percent STEM jobs and 2.27 times the number of residents working in these jobs than the rest of the country.

Startups, corporate expansions, and business relocations to Round Rock may be eligible for cash grants and financial aid based on their potential for community development, employment generation, and capital investment. Employers have access to more than 30,000 college graduates from more than 70 premier educational institutions in and around the city. 

The Round Rock Chamber also offers a Professional Relocation Optimization (PRO) program that helps businesses attract and recruit candidates at the professional and executive levels. The program includes meet-and-greets, welcome materials, customized surveys, and family relocation resources.

Featured Projects In Round Rock

The Round Rock Chamber features several new commercial and mixed-use projects in and around the city:

Avery Centre, is a 1,200-acre master-planned, mixed-use community, located in northeast Round Rock. The area is planned to feature a walkable town center, residential neighborhoods, and an extensive parks system.

Chandler Creek Business Park is a high-quality office and warehouse "flex" space consisting of eleven different sites totaling approximately 215,000 square feet of space. The project located in a master-planned 150-acre business park, centered amidst Round Rock’s premium healthcare, education, and retail services.

Settler’s Crossing is a Class-A, warehouse flex space consisting of ample storefront entries allowing for flexible suite sizes. The Round Rock Chamber has announced two buildings still available for a combined area of about 172,000 square feet office and warehouse space. The project has direct access to I-35 and is less than ten minutes from toll roads SH 45 and SH 130.

The District is a master-planned residential and commercial development at SH 45 and North Greenlawn Boulevard in Round Rock. The development is located on 65-acres of property and will provide approximately one million-square-feet of mixed-use space. The first 120,000 square feet of office is expected to be available soon. The project will consist of high-density office, hotel, retail, entertainment and residential land uses in an urban design unlike anything else found in Round Rock. Plazas and parks in the development will provide new gathering spaces in the public in close proximity to services and amenities.
