SD WAN for Utillities
My solution was considered to securely use SD-WAN solution to interconnect complicated networks.

Customer could not use any traditional way to interconnect branches to be able to monitor and control utility equipment.
Even the microwave solution to connect branches would be extremely costly to build new towers to be able to connect all branches to the main head quarter.
Your way to connect to all branches was to use LTE coverage, which was not the best in all sites, but the security will be the biggest challenge.
Branches with low coverage signal had to build signal boosting system to increase the level of LTE signal to average.
I had to stream all HMI and SCADA monitor and control system had to be connected through IP switches to SD-WAN appliances in all sites, that gives extremely high level of security and at the same time gives all utility company technicians the ability to connect locally for any required troubleshooting on the SCADA system.
the Proof of Concept POC was completely designed and provided by Experteers and the customer had to go through more than 248 tests to make sure none of the required commands / data will fail on this network.
to secure all communications between branches we had to use the best available SDN solutions in the world.
Experteers as a partner of Versa Networks since 2018, decided to use Versa Titan solution to connect all sites in a mesh network setup to guarantee site reachability at all times.
The case study also made it obvious that All Water Utility company branches were securely connected over LTE using UTM security.
