Zanghellini & Holt have designed the most iconic restaurants at the The Repulse Bay Hotel. Spice, Marquee and Verandah are some of the truly timeless, high quality examples of this restaurant design firm’s portfolio.
Zanghellini & Holt Associates (ZHA) is an Architectural & Interior Design consultancy specialising in high-quality hospitality and F&B projects all over Asia. ZHA was founded in 1998 with an aim to deliver high-end design quality combined with perfect functionality which has a truly timeless feel that will never look tired or dated. With a focus on over-delivering on what the end client wants, the ZHA design team are particularly proud of their iconic revitalization work at Spices Repulse Bay, Verandah and Marquee at The Repulse Bay Hotel.
The extensive interior design overhaul performed on the Repulse Bay Hotel included a complete refurbishment and revitalization of three key areas within the complex: Spices, Vernadah and Marquee. Although the revitalisation work was completed many years ago, all three lounge, dining and celebration areas still look as fresh and inviting today as they did at the time of their big reveal.
The Spices restaurant was designed to create the warm ambiance of an Eastern spice market. Serving fresh Asian cuisine, the restaurant offers cool alfresco tables and warm, comfortable interiors following a natural style and theme using coconut, rattan, teak and bamboo materials. The Marquee is an elegant way to celebrate your special event, whether that be your wedding, birthday or anniversary. Alternatively, you can use the Marquee and other outdoor spaces for your corporate events, including conferences, book or product launches, AGM's and team-building exercises. The Marquee was designed to offer a sense of space and openness, yet with the ability for guests to feel close and intimate at the same time.
The Verandah restaurant combines an elegant mix of refined dining with the traditional charm of the original Repulse Bay Hotel. The Verandah retains a bright and breezy Colonial sense of style with its cool and contemporary colour scheme matched with large windows that allow the sunlight to flood in during the day, and lets you watch the stars twinkle in the sky at night.
