Swimmers to Benefit from New Performance Swimming Swim Camps

Jul 27, 2016

Up-and-coming young swimmers have the chance to learn competitive swimming techniques from Olympic athletes at one of SwimPath’s Swim Camps.

Performance swimming experts SwimPath have launched a series of Swim Camps, online webinars and advice clinics to teach up-and-coming young swimmers world class techniques for future swimming success.

The Swim Camps are designed to teach performance swimming techniques to take aspiring young swimmers to the next level in their competitive careers and realise their potential.

Participants at the Swim Camps can expect expert tuition from some of the UK’s best swimmers including two-time Olympian and British butterfly record holder Jemma Lowe and 400 IM Olympian Tom Haffield, supported by Head Coach and former Team GB swimmer Jez Birds ensuring the swimmers receive the best advice and training available.

Through its unique training programmes and swimming community, SwimPath hopes to inspire the next generation of swimmers to perform at the highest level.

SwimPath's Swim Camps are available at various venues throughout the UK. These include Club Training Packages which include advising Club Coaches on techniques to assist their members’ performances, plus open Swim Camps for individual swimmers to improve their technique and learn tips from top UK athletes who understand the training required for high level competition.

The specialist swim clinics feature pool training sessions for all strokes with underwater analysis to illustrate improvements required for swim stroke techniques. The Swim Camps also include land-based training techniques for warm-up and cool-down to reduce injury prevention. The team also provide a session on nutrition and mental attitude required for training and racing in this demanding sport. SwimPath founder Stuart Phipps said: “Our team have been competing and coaching at the highest level of swimming for decades. They have a wealth of experience to pass on to the future stars of UK swimming.

“It was important to provide access to some of the UK’s best swimmers and for the Swim Camps to be limited to small numbers ensuring everyone receives the best training available on an individual basis during the session.

“When we started SwimPath we did so with the specific aim of ‘developing today the swimmers of tomorrow’. This has become our motto and a core theme which runs through our business from our Swim Camps to the specialist performance swimwear and kit we supply available in our store.”

As well as the Swim Camps, visitors to the Swim Path site have access to Olympic swimmers via online webinars, plus monthly advice and reviews on the most suitable swimwear and equipment for certain swimming styles and techniques. This is all available for free online on the SwimPath website.

The next Swim Camps will be held at Hengrove in Bristol in October 2016. Spaces are limited so it is advised to sign up for the newsletter on the website to receive monthly updates and information on forthcoming Swim Camps.
